YouTube Social Impact & Girl Effect | Brand Documentary

The YouTube Social Impact team launched a campaign for International Day of the Girl in late 2018. The series was “Educate a Girl, Empower a Nation” and centered around four different NGOs doing work for girl’s education and support in India. I worked across all four films, but because of the tight turnaround, I suggested splitting into two units. I oversaw one of the two productions on the ground in India as a creative producer and co-director.

Rolling Study Halls is an initiative from Google to install wifi, devices, and educators on school buses in rural communities where students have long commutes or limited access to technology and internet. We were tasked with creating a film profiling a student who benefits from this program while introducing the initiative.

Bryan’s Story | Brand Documentary

Google for Education in LATAM launched a film campaign to feature three stories about young students in Mexico who use technology to innovate solutions to problems within their community.

This story is about Bryan, who designed a solar-powered LED light using recyclable materials to be installed in communities without electricity. We documented Bryan’s first implementation of these lights in a community just outside of Mexico City.

This story is about Miroslava Silva, who created a technology education program for indigenous women in Queretaro, and Angelica, who has blossomed from the program.
